Horse fighting the bit? Look for this dental condition.

Horses may show discomfort with the bit by tossing their head or rearing due to a condition called blind wolf teeth. These are small, vestigial teeth that can erupt sideways and pinch the tissue between the tooth and the bit, causing pain. Veterinarians or dental technicians can detect these teeth by feeling along the horse's bars in the mouth, ensuring they don't miss this easy-to-overlook issue.
