There is More To Equine Dentistry.
Every horse has a story, and often, the answers to its discomfort, performance challenges, or underlying disease begin inside its mouth. Understanding that story takes more than recognizing a problem. It requires a deeper understanding of equine dental anatomy, pathology, biomechanics, diagnostics, and the ability to apply that knowledge in clinical practice.
At Moore Equine Education, we believe that when veterinarians see the equine mouth differently, they can approach their patients differently, too.
Our Mission
Our mission is to advance the practice of equine dentistry through clinically grounded education that challenges veterinarians to look deeper, think critically, and continually refine their approach to diagnosis and treatment. We strive to make advanced knowledge and practical skills accessible to veterinarians who want to grow in their profession, improve the care they provide, and explore what is possible beyond conventional approaches to equine dentistry. Because better understanding leads to better questions, more informed clinical decisions, and new opportunities to improve the lives of the horses in our care.
Education That Translates Into Practice
Equine dentistry is continually evolving. As our understanding of dental anatomy, disease, and treatment advances, so does the opportunity to improve how we care for our patients. Yet developing proficiency requires more than learning concepts in a lecture hall. It takes the ability to recognize anatomy and pathology, interpret diagnostic findings, evaluate treatment options, and apply techniques in real clinical situations.
Our educational programs bring together scientific principles, clinical experience, case-based discussions, and hands-on training with live horses. Working in small groups allows veterinarians to ask questions, refine their techniques, and develop a deeper understanding of the principles behind their work.
From occlusal equilibration and diagnostics to extractions, restorative dentistry, and advanced surgical techniques, our courses are designed to help veterinarians build their knowledge progressively and apply what they learn to the patients in front of them. The goal isn't simply to learn another procedure. It's to develop the understanding and confidence to make better-informed clinical decisions.
A Different Perspective
on The Equine Mouth
A horse's mouth holds valuable information about its health, comfort, and function. Recognizing that information, and understanding what it means, can change the way a veterinarian approaches a case. We encourage veterinarians to look beyond what is immediately visible, question assumptions, and consider the underlying anatomy and pathology that influence diagnosis and treatment.
This perspective extends beyond the classroom. Through clinical education, case discussions, videos, and shared experiences, we aim to encourage continued curiosity and thoughtful practice throughout a veterinarian's career.

Learning Through Experience and Collaboration

Moore Equine Education draws on years of clinical practice, teaching, and collaboration with experienced veterinarians and educators. We believe that the advancement of equine dentistry depends on a willingness to share knowledge, challenge established thinking, and remain open to new ideas. Our courses create opportunities for veterinarians to learn from instructors, exchange perspectives with colleagues, and translate new understanding into practical skills. Whether a veterinarian is building a foundation in equine dentistry or refining advanced techniques, there is always more to discover.
Our Commitment
We are committed to helping veterinarians continue to grow—not just in what they know, but in how they think, evaluate, and approach equine dental care. Every new concept understood, every diagnostic question explored, and every technique refined represents an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clinical practice. Ultimately, the value of education extends beyond the veterinarian. It reaches the horses whose conditions are recognized, whose treatment options are better understood, and whose care benefits from a more informed approach.
There is more to learn. More to understand. And more to equine dentistry. We invite you to be part of that journey.
